Paul E. Borman, age 93, passed away at 8:35 am Sunday March 20, 2011 2006 at Alton Memorial Hospital with his family by his side.
He was born on April 22, 1917 in Godfrey, the son of Arthur & Caroline (Sheppard) Borman.
He married Ruth M. Gentry on Dec. 25, 1936 in Alton and she preceded him in death on November 13, 2006.
He was a member of Brown Street Baptist Church in Alton and loved to bowl and watch sports. He retired from Owens Illinois Glass Manufacturing as a mold maker
He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, and will be missed by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul L. & Molly Borman of Ormond Beach, FL., Larry D. & Juli Borman of Jakarta, Indonesia, six grandchildren; Robert Borman, Michele Spence, Amy Clementz, Jeff Borman, Curtis Borman, and Lindsay Borman; and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Arthur & Caroline Borman, he was also preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Borman.
Visitation will be from 10 am until time of funeral services at 11 am Friday March 25, 2011 at Brown Street Baptist Church in Alton with Pastor David Burman officiating.
Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.
