Mable Irene Cauley, 80, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011 at Bethalto Care Center. Born Sept. 6, 1930 in Mt. Vernon, Ill., she was a daughter of William H. and Zilpah (Lyons) Dale. A former waitress, she married Theodore C. Cauley Apr. 13, 1965 in Alton. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Holt of East Alton; a son, Orville Schollmeyer of Bethalto; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Schollmeyer; a sister, Dorothy Dale; and four brothers, Roy, Gene, Ray and Loyd Dale.
According to her wishes, her body was cremated and inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Mr. Vernon with her husband.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
