Wesley L. May, 69, passed away at 7:00 pm Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at his home.
He was born on July 13, 1941 in Alton, IL, the son of John Wesley and Alberta (Smith) May.
He married Judy D. Koehler in Camdenton, MO. She survives.
Wesley was a self employed mason for over 20 years. He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Wood River. He enjoyed boating, the outdoors and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children and their spouses, Shane and Briena May of Rosewood Heights, Heath and Amanda May of Bowling Green, KY and Jana May of East Alton; four grandchildren, Maison, Braedan, Elijah, and Gavin; a sister, Linda Anson of TX; a brother, Curtis May; a sister-in-law, Phyllis May and his nieces and nephews, Melanie Rohr, Melissa May, Dawn Randazole, Tiffany Loden, John Loden, Cassie Anson and B.J. Anson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dwaine May and a brother, Walter May.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until service time at 4:00 pm Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto with Rev. Heath May officiating.
Inurnment will be at a later date at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
