Marlene Windmiller

Marlene R. Windmiller, 76, passed away at 1:27 pm Saturday February 12, 2011 at Rosewood Care Center in Alton.

She was born on January 14, 1935 in Alton, the daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth (Peirick) Reinecke.

She graduated from Marquette Catholic High School in 1953.

Marlene never retired from her full time job as a homemaker and mother.  She was a devoted member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.

She married Hal Ray Windmiller on September 4, 1954 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton where she is a member.

She was devoted to her family and is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Julie & Michael Moore of Jacksonville, IL; a son and daughter-in-law, Joe & Kristen Windmiller of St. Louis; three grandchildren, Catherine Windmiller, Elizabeth Moore, and Steven Moore; a great grandson, Domanic Elliott Moore; one sister, Mary Jane Schlemer of Collinsville; and a brother and sister-in-law, Bob & Alice Reinecke of Alton.

Visitation will be from 11 am to 2 pm Tuesday February 15, 2011 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 pm with Fr. Delix Michel SSL as celebrant.

She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond & Carol Reinecke and a brother-in-law, Leo Schlemer.

Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey.

Memorials may be made to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church or Masses.
