Andrew S. Dugan, 92, passed away at 10:28 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2011 at his home. He was born Nov. 19, 1918 in Wood River to John and Rose Dugan. A member of Pipefitters Local #553 and a pipefitter for Olin Corp., he retired in 1985 after 46 years.
He married Ann Malouhos Apr. 22, 1949. She survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Cookie and Steve Schone of St. Louis; a son, James Dugan of Bethalto; three grandchildren, Gina “The Agent” Schone, Aaron Dugan, and Tina Westberg and her husband Jim; 5 great grandchildren, Jessica, Josef, Laura Beth, Evander, and Adrianna; and a sister, Katherine Foehrkalb of Wood River.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 15 from noon until services begin at 1:00 p.m. Father David J. Boase will officiate.
Interment will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church in Alton.
