Sherry Ann Leavell, 74, died at 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton. Born November 26, 1936 in Alton, she was the daughter of George W. and Coline D. (Crain) Hagerty Jr. She was a former member of the North Alton Southern Baptist Church.
On June 29, 1956 in Alton, she married James O. Leavell. He survives. Also surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Douglas and Elizabeth Leavell of Ft. Collins, CO, a daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Jeff Lagemann of Godfrey, three grandchildren, Stephanie and Clayton Leavell and Barrett Lagemann.
Services will be private.
Reverend Don E. Long Jr. will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 5A’s Animal Shelter.
