David E. Jones, 54, of Brighton died Sunday morning Dec 19, 2010. He was the son of the late Junior L. Jones and Mary I. Perez of Benson, AZ.
On August 5, 1978, he married Donna M. Kelly. She preceded him in death on Sept 21, 2010.
Besides his Mother, he is survived by a sister, Pamela L. Meyer of Alton, IL. Two nephews,
J. Brian Meyer and his wife Amy of Godfrey, IL and David M. Meyer of Alton. Countless extended family members and friends.
He was the owner of DJ’s truck repair in Godfrey for over 30 years.
He was a member of Teamsters Local 525, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1349 in Wood River, IL, Alton-Wood River Sportsman Club, the National Reining Horse Association and a lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club.
A Memorial Service will be held at Targhetta & Wooldridge Funeral Home in Brighton at 7 pm on Thursday January 6, 2011.
In lieu of dress clothing, the family requests you wear your jeans in Dave’s honor.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Susan G. Komen for the cure.
