Randy William Varney, 47, passed away at 7:08 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born Feb. 12, 1963 in Jerseyville, he was a son of William L. and Kathryn M. (Balcom) Varney.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn M. Varney of Edwardsville; two sons, Nathan and Shaun Varney, both of East Alton; 6 grandchildren, Taylor, Gabriel, Purity, Serenity, Damien, and Raymond; 3 sisters, Shirley, Carol and Cleta, all of Oklahoma; and 3 brothers, Charlie of Texas, Jerry of Oklahoma, and Bob of Godfrey.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters, Peggy, Teresa and Frieda; and two brothers, Tim and the infant twin of Charlie.
A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 8 from 2-4 p.m. at Paynic Home for Funerals in Rosewood Heights.
