Diane E. Parish, age 44, passed away at 5:15 pm, Wednesday, November 3, 2010, at Alton Memorial Hospital.



She was born in Alton on March 14, 1966, to Gary E. Hendricks and Janet (Carr) Maxeiner.


Diane married Charles “Chad” O. Parish IV on June 19, 1992 in Godfrey. He survives.



She was a homemaker and mother. She lived in the Alton area all of her life.  She graduated Class of 1984 from Alton Senior High School. She had a deep appreciation of Art and nature. She enjoyed reading various types of literature, photography, and music. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. Diane was the center of her family, but her family was the center of her world.



Her mother and stepfather, Herbert C. Maxeiner, who was very active in her life, survive her. She is also survived by her husband, Chad, three sons; Charles “Coltyn” O. Parish V, Luke Matthew Parish, Noah Christian Parish, two daughters; Samantha Brett Parish and Annah Sage Parish all of Alton, four brothers; Christopher Hendricks of Senoia, GA, Kenneth & Julie Maxeiner of Lake Charles, LA, Scott & Karrie Hendricks of Alton, IL, and Dale Hendricks of Wood River, IL, and one sister; Melissa Richards of Alton, Il. She also had many uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.



Her father and a brother, Herbert E. Maxeiner, preceded her in death.



Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday November 7, 2010 at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral in Alton and service Monday November 8, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. William Hendricks officiate.



Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery in Alton.



Memorials may be directed to the 5A’s Animal Shelter or to a memorial college fund for her children.
