Susan Elaine Ganter, 59, of Bethalto died at 8:05 pm, Saturday, October 9, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born on June 10, 1951 in Wood River, IL, the daughter of Joseph James and W. Elizabeth (Oetken) Ricci.
She married Joseph Paul Ganter on October 6, 1989 in Edwardsville, IL. He preceded her in death.
Susan previously worked as a Radiologic Technologist and most recently as a Certified Nurses Assistant. She loved caring for all her patients.
In addition to her mother of Bethalto, she is survived by three brothers, Joe (Pat) Ricci, Mark (Kelly) Ricci and Jim (Teri) Ricci; two sisters, Paula Ricci and Joan (Gary) Elledge and an extended family of aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces. Susan held a special place in her heart for the Ganter family.
She was preceded in death by her father and husband.
A private family service will be held at a later date. At Susan’s request, no visitation is scheduled.
