Kathie L. Taylor was born October 5, 1947 to Opal Simpson of East Alton, IL and the late James Simpson. She graduated from this life on October 4, 2010.
She is survived by her husband, Stephen A. Taylor and two daughters, Lori and her husband Stephen Merkel of Weldon Spring, MO, and Staci Ann Hayes and her husband Brian, of Mooresville, NC. Her three grandsons, Bailey Stephen Merkel, Jordan Stephen Merkel, and Hudson Taylor Hayes were the love of her life. Also surviving is her sister, Karen Pace and her husband Roger of Brighton and her mother-in-law, Mavis Taylor of Godfrey. Kathie was loved by all who knew her. Her warmth and smile were magnetic to the people she came into contact with. Her compassion and love for others mended many broken hearts. She was a good person.
Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Styger Funeral Home, 5987 Mid Rivers Mall Dr., St. Charles, MO.
Memorials may be made to Westminster Christian Academy in Creve Coeur, MO, in honor of Kathie L. Taylor.
