Raymond Leroy Bockstruck, age 78, passed away at 2:04 pm, Friday, July 23, 2010, at his residence with his family by his side.

He was born on January 19, 1932, to the late, Harold and Dorothy (Nirsch) Bockstruck.

He was married to the former Irene Gerdt on September 15, 1956, at the Salem Presbyterian Church in Alton.  She survives.

He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Salem Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder of the church.  He worked at Wickenhauser Construction as a carpenter for over 50 years, retiring in 1994 and farmed his entire life.

He is survived by his Wife, two sons Steven and his wife Beth Bockstruck of Brighton, Wayne Bockstruck of Alton, one daughter Connie and her husband Glen LeDuc of Edwardsville, IL, five grandchildren Kevin and Linda LeDuc, Leanne, John and Brendan Bockstruck.

His parents and one infant son Stanley preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Monday July 26, 2010, at Elias Kallal And Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton.  Rev. Charles Hoekstra will conduct funeral services at 10 am Tuesday July 27, 2010 at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Upper Alton Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Salem Presbyterian Church or American Cancer Society.
