Harold E. Ruyle, 85, passed away at 1:10 am, Friday, July 23, 2010, at the Bethalto Care Center in Bethalto.
He was born in Kampsville, IL on July 17, 1925 the son of Gilmer and Bernice (Drake) Ruyle.
Harold married Alice (Johnson) on February 23, 1952 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton, IL. She survives.
Harold was an executive officer at Anchor Savings & Loan for a number of years and Sr. Vice-President at Guarantee Savings Bank in Dallas, TX, where he retired in 1990.. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton.
He is survived by his wife, a son and his spouse Timothy and Julia Ruyle of Springfield, IL. a daughter and her spouse; Barbara and Brian Hale of Florissant, MO, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren, a brother; Jerry Ruyle of North Port, FL.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters; Verna Gjondla, Regina DePonte and Thelma Ruyle.
A memorial service will be at 1 pm, Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton, IL. Brother John Luong OMV will be the celebrant. Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Godfrey, IL.
