Raymond Fields

Raymond (Pete) Fields, 88 passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at 5:55 am at Eldercare Nursing Home in Alton, Il. He was born May 11, 1921 in Alton, Il. to the late Russell M. and May Belle (Zumwalt) Fields .

Raymond married Margaret J. Fennell on December 20, 1947 in Cottage Hills, Il. she preceeded him in death on January 23, 2000. He served in the United States Army and then worked at the Ford Motor Company for over 20 yrs. He was a member of the Brown Street Baptist Church in Alton, Il.

Raymond is also survived by three sons and their spouses; Kenneth M. and Jackie Fields of Seattle, WA, Steven R. and Sandy Fields of Norridge, Il. and Thomas G. and Karen Fields of Godfrey, Il. ten grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, one sister; Evelyn Ressman, of Bethalto, Il. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister; Dorothy Duff, and two brothers; Leonard Fields, and Allen Fields.

Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, Il. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at Elias Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, Il. with the Reverend David Burman officiating. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, Illinois.
