Mildred Bentley

Mildred "Millie" Bentley, age 90, passed away at 6:50 a.m. on Wednesday, December 16, 2009, at the Bethalto Care Center, in Bethalto, Il. She was born in Caro, Il on September 18, 1919, the daughter of Clyde A. and Zola (Vick) Bass. Mildred married James A. Bentley Sr. on September 2, 1933 in Jonesboro, IL.
He preceded her in death on February 15, 1979.

She is survived by one daughter; Betty Schmidt of Alton, IL; six Grandchildren and ten Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters; Dorothy Headley and Mary Lou Drake; one son James A. Bentley Jr. and one brother; Louis Bass.

Graveside service will be on at 11 am, Monday, December 21, 2009 at Leightner Cemetery in Scott City, MO. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association and or the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
