Beverly Diveley

Beverly A. "Bev" Diveley, 70, passed away at 11:10am on Monday, November 23, 2009 at Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton. She was born on October 15, 1939 in Alton, Illinois, the daughter of the late James M. and Gertrude "Esther" (Johnson) Burton. She married Donald K. "Bud" Diveley on April 8, 1955 in St. Charles, Missouri and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2007. Survivors include one daughter and son in law: Joyce and Larry Ausmus of Edwardsville, three sons and daughters in law: Don and Roxane Diveley Jr. of Worden, Steve and Trisha Diveley of Bethalto, and Mark and Barbara Diveley of Roxana, nine grandchildren: Alexis Allen, Casey Allen, Amelia Allen, Holly Diveley, Gregory Diveley, Cory Diveley, Katelyn Diveley, Tim and Lacey Diveley, and Jeremy Diveley, four great grandchildren: Christian Avila, Cash Andrade, Jackson Andrade, Delilah Allen, one brother: William "Bill" Burton of East Alton, and a brother in law and sister in law: Robert "Bob" and Judy Diveley of Roxana all survive.

She was formerly employed at Forever Resorts in Cottonwood Cove, Nevada. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Roxana.

She was preceded by her parents, her husband, one grandson: Christopher Diveley, and one sister: Janet Stirnaman.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, November 27, 2009 at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Funeral services will be at 10:30am on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the funeral home. Rev. Roy Gibbs will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodland Hill Cemetery in East Alton.

Memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church in Roxana or Community Memorial Hospital in Staunton, Illinois.
