Vivian Russell

Vivian Russell, 88, died at 7:15 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2009 at Willow Rose Rehab and Health Care in Jerseyville. Born February 24, 1921 in Holiday, TN, she was the daughter of Benjamin H. and Dicey F. (Cole) Earp. She married Fred Russell on June 8, 1940 in Hollow Rock, TN. He preceded her in death in 2002. Surviving are three sons; Jimmie Russell and his wife Wendy of Godfrey, Charles Russell and his wife Jane of Tennessee, and Billy Wayne Russell and his wife Diane of Virginia, eight grandchildren, one brother, Charles Earp of Holiday, TN, and a sister, Gladys Blasingham of Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and one sister. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Dalton Cemetery in Benton County, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
