Charles E. Dodson, 83, passed away at 9:31 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.He was born on February 1, 1926 in -- the son of --.
He married Alice. She survives.
Charles worked at Owens IL Glass Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Debbie, sons-in-law, eight grandchildren and spouses, four great grandchildren; sister, and brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In celebration of his life, visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. -- at Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. -- at the funeral home.
Burial will follow.
