Rev. William Edward Brown

Rev. William Edward Brown of University Place passed quietly into the arms of his Lord at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 15, 2009. A loving husband, father, and devoted friend, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Robert; his father, Warren; and his mother, Amy.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Clara; six sons and three daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Elaine of Reno, Nev., David and Judy of Puyallup, Wash., Daniel and Esther of Newark, Calif., Donald of Ellensburg, Wash., Ronald of Ferndale, Wash. and Jacques of University Place, Wash.; his brother, Richard of Wood River; his sister, Helen of Godfrey; ten grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Matthew and wife Melissa, Eric Stephen, Phillip Edward, Kristin Lea, Sarah and Brian Maxwell, Vernon Paul, Sharon and Cliff Roberson, Caleb Daniel, and Luke Aaron; and three great grandchildren, Aiden, Denise Roberson and Shawn Simpson.
Local memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, 2009 at the First Baptist Church, Alhambra, Ill.
