Joanna Austin

Joanna Lee Austin, 45, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2009 in Slaughters.
Born Aug. 28, 1963 in Alton, she was the daughter of John and Marolyn (Smith) Miner.
She worked as a waitress for Dinky Diner in Madisonville, Ky.
She is survived by her mother of Wood River; a daughter, Brooke Gatten of Slaughters; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Jeffrey Miner of Champlin, Minn. and Michael and Tracy Miner of Wood River; two nieces, Laura and Grace Miner; and two nephews, Eric and Scott Miner.
She was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Eddie Turner.

Everett Brooks will officiate at a memorial service at noon Monday, June 6 at the Church of God of Prophecy, 226 S. Pence in East Alton.
