“Betty” Floyd

“Betty” Floyd, age 84, passed away at 2:40 pm, Monday, July 27, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side.
Betty was born on February 11, 1931 in Walnut Ridge, AR the daughter of the late Daniel and Audra (Mulligan) Sullivan.
She married Calvin Cledis Floyd on January 14, 1949 in Arkansas; he preceded her in death in March of 1977.
She was the food service manager at the Venture Department Store in Alton, enjoyed playing cards and Bunco, she enjoyed working in her flower garden and tending to them for many years, her greatest love was spending time with her family.
She is survived by four children; Debbie Floyd, Don Floyd, Terry Floyd and Denise and her spouse Brad Jones all of Alton, nine grandchildren; Jason, Patrick, Marcie, Jeremy , Adrienne, Preston, Garth, Gevon and Garan-Harley, fourteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons; Calvin Al Floyd and Tommy Lee Floyd, and five brothers and five sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 am till time of service at 1 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Alton. Rev. David Gentry will officiate.
Private burial service will be at the Upper Alton Cemetery at a later date.
Memorials may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis society or American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Foundation.
