Ayme J. Miller, 88, died at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at her home in Alton. Born October 30, 1926 in Belding, Michigan, she was the daughter of Orval and Winifred (Russell) Thompson. Mrs. Miller was a homemaker and a member of Lifebrook Church in Bethalto. On January 28, 1949 she married Doyle D. Miller in Belding, Michigan. He preceded her in death on March 17, 2011. Surviving is a daughter, Connie Schuh (Eugene) of Alton, two sons, Thomas Miller of Alton, and Chris Miller of Alton, five grandchildren, Linda Goulart, Michael Hamby, Amy Waters, Jamie Buchanan and Megan Miller, 13 great grandchildren, Kayla Goulart, Kelsey Bloodworth, Michael, Brian and Matthew Hamby, Nicolas Mahan, Logan and Jackson Waters, Kendall, Gabrielle and Carly Miller-Peuterbaugh, Brayden and Kamryn Buchanan, two great-great grandchildren, Haley Bloodworth and Brian Hamby Jr., three step granddaughters, April Imming, Messina Lenger, and Jolene Dixon and their children, and a brother, William Thompson of Holland, Ohio. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Miller, a brother, Russell Thompson, and two sisters, Erma Harrington and Donna Miller. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2015. Reverend Jonathan Absher will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Lifebrook Church in Bethalto.
