An ordinance to place yield signs at the intersection of Chantel Drive and Chadwick Drive sparked a debate between trustees on the Godfrey Village Board last week. At issue, was the decision to establish yield signs at the location instead of stop signs. Trustee Jeff Weber says the type of sign placed at the intersection shouldn't have been an issue.
Trustee Mike Stumpf disagrees. He says the tickets aren't issued for failure to yield unless an accident occurs.
