A woman shot while driving eastbound on I-70 in St. Louis has died. The incident happened Thursday evening near East Grand Avenue around 8pm. Earlier in the afternoon, a man was shot and killed as he waited at a traffic light on Adelaide near Hall, just east of I-70 just north of downtown St. Louis.
In the incident last night, the female believed to be in her early 40's crashed the vehicle after she was shot and so far police have not released any possible motive and have no suspects. The afternoon incident involved shooters who were using high-powered weapons. Police say the suspects apparently got out of their vehicles on an overpass at Adelaide and Hall and began firing. While one man died of his wounds, another was shot and injured and shattered class injured a third man. Authorities believe the suspects were waiting for someone else and instead shot at random motorists.
