The holidays are supposed to be fun, but for some people, they can't get over fast enough.
“People may be thinking about the pecan pie that Grandma used to make,” licensed clinical social worker Sondra Wise says of an annual remembrance. “I think it's important for families to feel comfortable and feel open about talking with each other,” she says.

You can spread out the activities to try to decrease stress, and you can steel yourself for the inevitable comment from a relative and try to let it roll off you, Wise says.
