Stamper Lane in Godfrey will see more improvements, with the next round of upgrades scheduled to begin next week. This time, the roadwork will take place on a stretch of Stamper just west of the main entrance to Glazebrook Park to just east of the Godfrey Knights of Columbus Hall.
The marked detour will take traffic on Pierce Lane north to Airport Road, and those living in the Camelot Subdivision or attending events at Glazebrook Park or the ball fields will have to use Godfrey Road to Stamper. Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick says this project will cause some inconvenience:

Work will continue on the roadway until improvements reach all the way to Pierce Lane. Once the contractor begins construction, they will have 75 calendar days in which to complete the work. Construction is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 8.
