Local tourism officials are gearing up for the fall colors, and experts say this year's colors could be extraordinarily bright. The changing leaves are one of the area's biggest draws during the fall, and Asta Sadauskis of The Greenery in Godfrey says Mother Nature has given us plenty of moisture this year.
Now, if the cool down brings the right mix of warm days and cool nights, she says the colors could be spectacular.

The Riverbend boasts many popular fall-color watching routes, as well as a number of back roads that locals find equally enjoyable, according to Sadauskis.
Serving the areas of Alton, Godfrey, East Alton, Wood River, Roxana, Edwardsville, Jerseyville, Brighton, Bethalto, Grafton, Granite City, Hartford, Highland, Troy, Fairview Heights, Belleville and the surrounding cities.
