Market Street, Alton, ILThe snow is wrapping up around the Riverbend but some roads are still snow packed.  If you have to get out, give yourself plenty of extra time to get to where you are going as 4-7 inches of snow is on the ground depending on where you live.  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Noon.

The roads around the area were snow covered and slushy in most spots this morning.  The main roads where snow plows have been are a little better than side streets and neighborhoods where there there is plenty of snow.  Bridges and overpasses will be slick with temperatures right around freezing.
