Six people have been arrested with more to come in an ongoing drug sweep in Jersey County. Law enforcement says the arrests took cannabis, prescription drugs, and a small amount of heroin off of the streets. Most of the arrests occurred late last week, and there are at least two more suspects to be rounded up in this latest effort being carried out by the Jersey County Sheriff's Department and the Central Illinois Drug Task Force.
Jersey County Sheriff Mark Kallal says these arrests represent a small piece of the local drug trade.
