The spouse of another politician is connected to Governor Quinn's now-disbanded anti-violence program. The "Chicago Sun Times" reports Jaclin Davis, wife of Homewood state Representative Will Davis, made over 137-thousand dollars in salary and benefits from the Neighborhood Recovery Initiative.
She was the organization's program coordinator and was responsible for managing how the governor's 2010 program was implemented in Thornton Township. Last month, state records shows the husband of Cook County Circuit Court Clerk Dorothy Brown, Benton Cook, was paid more than 146 thousand dollars from NRI. He denied being paid that amount but couldn't remember the amount he was paid.
