The Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign fell short of its goal this season, but the top bell ringers were recently announced.  For the 7th year in a row and 9 of the past 10, the Alton Godfrey Rotary Club was the number one producer.  Fifty members from the club produced a record $5,415 over a two-day period in December.

That’s more than twice the second place finisher.  Salvation Army Lieutenant Terri Ellison tells The Big Z while the traditional kettles are used here, there has been some curiosity about upgrading.

The Red Kettle campaign goal this year was $103,000, and they raised just over $67,000.
