What was once a stop on the Underground Railroad in the Riverbend is turning into a stop for tourists. The Rocky Fork area near the Boy Scout Camp in Godfrey is evolving into an area that is seeing more interest given by those that enjoy unearthing the history of the region. Allie Ringhausen, Executive Director of the Land Trust, says the terrain was favorable to keeping the fleeing slaves not only safe, but allowed some to prosper.
He says the area is increasing in popularity
