The upcoming Riverbend Earth Day Festival will be held in a couple of weeks, and the 4th annual installment of the event is coming back to Piasa Harbor on the Great River Road. This is the second year for the new location, and organizers are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year. Previously hosted at The Nature Institute on Levis Lane in Godfrey, it has outgrown that space.
TNI has partnered with the Sierra Club, Great Rivers Land Trust, The National Great Rivers Research and Education Center and the Alton Regional Convention and Visitor’s Bureau to bring more attention to the event. The Sierra Club’s Christine Favilla tells The Big Z it will be an afternoon full of activities.
