In local police reports, Illinois State Police made a traffic stop on Interstate 70 in Madison County on Friday and arrested two people from New Mexico who are now charged with substance trafficking unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.  28-year-old Jorge Miramontes and 27 year old Erica Miramontes were taken into custody after troopers allegedly found more than $1-million worth of heroin in the vehicle.

Alton Police are investigating recently reported vehicle burglaries.  Three teenage suspects were reportedly questioned about incidents on October 20 and 21, one in the 1800 block of Woodland Avenue in which a couple hundred dollars in change was reportedly stolen.

Police are looking for a man who allegedly offered to sell marijuana to a Wal-Mart store employee in Glen Carbon.  19-year-old Kyle J. Rill of Granite City was arrested outside the store in May on an outstanding warrant and during a search of his vehicle, found several hundred dollars in stolen items and a spoon which was tested for drugs.  At the time he was charged with felony retail theft.  The drug test came back earlier this month and he is now wanted for possession of a controlled substance.
