In local police reports, the South Roxana Police report the arrest of 23 year old Nicole M. Hobbs of the 100 block of Ohio in South Roxana on a count of presence within a school zone by a child sex offender. She was found this week at the South Roxana Elementary School and police were called. After her arrest, police say she threatened South Roxana Police Chief Bob Coles, kicked him, and damaged drywall within the police department. She is also charged with aggravated battery, threatening a public official and criminal damage to government supported property.
Elsewhere, the Madison County Sheriff’s Department arrested two people during a traffic stop early Thursday on the Homer Adams Parkway and Godfrey Road on a vehicle with a registration violation. The driver, 19 year old Keyjwan Hendrix of the 3200 block of Belle Street in Alton was charged with possession of firearm ammunition without a FOID card, operating a motor vehicle without registration and driving while license suspended. A passenger, 19 year old Paul Lunsford of the 3200 block of Belle Street, was arrested for felony unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.
