The Godfrey Village Board is still considering adopting an occupancy permit ordinance, but the issue has not been resolved quickly enough for at least one trustee. The village is the only community in the Riverbend without some sort of occupancy permit procedure on the books, but the one that was ready for village board approval raised some concerns within the local realtor community.
Mike Stumpf says the Planning & Zoning Commission has taken too long and produced too few results.

The board voted to reexamine the issue at its next meeting on February 18, at which time they will have a proposed ordinance in front of them that includes all known recommendations from the trustees.
