The Madison County Democratic Party has a new chairman. Allan Napp, a lifetime resident of Godfrey, was introduced as the newly elected party chairman during the county convention last week. He had previously served as a precinct committeeman and was also recently re-elected as Chairman of the Godfrey Township Democratic Committee.
Napp says it's an honor to be named party chairman. He says it was something he sought out.

During his acceptance speech Napp called Madison County Democrats "F.D.R. Democrats", meaning that they share the same ideals as past generations. He also pledged to continue to fight for ordinary families and to help the party adapt to the needs of county residents.
