Riverbend Head Start and Family Services in Alton is celebrating a new partnership that is expected to breathe new life into the volunteer program.  Plans were unveiled on The Big Z’s Pat Heston Show this week to open a new location in Bethalto.  This will be the first time they have had a dedicated facility to serve the village

Head Start spokesman Kristen Gosling says they are aiming for a February opening.

Gosling says they will open initially with one classroom, with morning and afternoon classes.  That will allow them to serve 34 children.  If you would like more information, call 463-5950.
