A $5.8-million construction project at St. Louis Regional Airport in Bethalto has resulted in the creation of more than three-dozen new jobs. West Star Aviation cut the ribbon on a new hangar, which adds another 67,000 square feet to its existing 250,000 square feet of facilities. Business has been good enough to justify the expenditure, with the recent addition of the Egyptian Air Force as a client.
Airport Manager David Miller says the continued success of the company means the potential for job growth will continue into the future, and these are highly specialized jobs.

Miller says the jobs are highly specialized and well paying. He says that results in a boost for other businesses in the area as well.
