Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick is looking forward to summer roadwork in the village, and one project in particular that has taken much longer to complete than he would have liked. McCormick expects the completion of work on the roads in the Piasa Hills Subdivision, and the village could also replace a bridge on Bethany Lane.
McCormick was hopeful that the Piasa Hills project could have been done last summer.

That work follows the extension of the village sewer system into that neighborhood. McCormick is also hopeful of repairs or an upgrade to a one-lane bridge on Bethany Lane, and says federal money for that work fell through so the village is looking at local or state sources to fund the work.
