The running mate of Illinois Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner made a stop in the Riverbend on Wednesday. Evelyn Sanguinetti visited the studios of WBGZ to talk about the GOP primary next month, and her plans if elected to the states number two post in support of Rauner.
Sanguinetti is an attorney from Wheaton, has three children, and serves on the city council in the DuPage County town. She decided to accept Rauner’s offer to run with him because she believes they can make a difference and are both truly approaching the race, and politics in Illinois, from the outside:

Rauner currently leads in most polls over his Republican opponents, and his campaign has been mostly self funded. Sanguinetti was on a tour of southern Illinois and also made a stop in Edwardsville on Wednesday.
