Godfrey will be entering into a loan agreement with Madison County to get the funds for a new restroom facility at the ballfields at Glazebrook Park on Stamper Lane. The interest rate on the loan is 3-percent. This will help get the ball rolling, as baseball and softball season are right around the corner.
Godfrey Mayor Mike McCormick:
He hopes for a ground breaking on the project next month. With a new restroom facility on the Glazebrook side, there will be no need to cross Stamper Lane to use the facilities on the north side of the road. There was one change order approved for the project that will allow for the moving of a few beams to accomodate the building doors. The cost increase was just under $2,800 which is still less than the next closest bidder's price.
