A Calhoun County man has allegedly run afoul of the law in Normal, Illinois, and now the local sheriff is looking into whether he has behaved similarly here. 56-year-old Michael Dean of Kampsville was arrested last Friday at a Normal hotel on felony drug charges after police were called to the motel by an intoxicated man who said Dean had tried to sexually assault him.
Police allegedly found three prescription drugs and a liquid they think may be GHB, or the date rape drug. Calhoun County Sheriff Bill Heffington says it was shortly after he was notified of the incident in Normal that he began an investigation locally.

Normal police allegedly found digital photos of naked men who were shackled and appeared to be either unconscious or heavily sedated. Dean has not been charged with any sex crimes. If you have any information to share on Dean, Heffington asks you call his office at 618-576-2417.
