Motorists traveling along Route 3 in Jersey County will need to adjust travel times and routes as the Illinois Department of Transportation begins work on a project that may not be finished until late 2016. IDOT Supervising Field Engineer John Scheibal tells The Big Z that traffic will be reduced by one lane on Route 3 from Grafton Hills Road to Route 109 near Grafton starting tomorrow to perform necessary widening and resurfacing.

He says the project will involve more than just roadwork.
