More than $11,000 was raised recently to be distributed among 45 families enrolled at Riverbend Head Start & Family Services’ Edwardsville Head Start center. Much of the credit goes to John Ciszcon and Rick Stamer who chaired the Greater Madison County Federation of Labor’s Holiday for Head Start campaign. The donations came in the form of $100 gift cards to union area grocery stores, according to Head Start spokesman Kristen Gosling.
