East St. Louis is the most dangerous city in the nation. That's according to a recently released survey from NeighborhoodScout.com, which ranked the metro-east city as number one for the second year in a row. The results were based on the number of violent crimes reported to the FBI per one-thousand people in cities with a population of 25-thousand or more.
St. Louis came in at number eight, while Carbondale, Illinois made the list at number 64.
