photo courtesy Danyelle GreenThree people are expected to be charged with drug crimes following a bust this (Friday) morning in East Alton.  The arrests followed ongoing surveillance at a home in the 200 block of Whitelaw Avenue at a house that used to be the Toddle Town day care facility.

East Alton Police Chief Darren Carlton tells The Big Z a search warrant was executed at about 9:15am.

He says the house has been under surveillance under this current investigation for a week or so, but there has been alleged activity there for maybe a year, according to Carlton.  Two men and one woman were taken into custody. Carlton declined to offer details about what was recovered during the search.
