It looks like the U.S. Senate has enough support to extend unemployment benefits for another three-months. But Congressman Rodney Davis says that shouldn’t even be up for discussion.

The U.S. Senate voted today to bring the issue up for a full debate. One-point-three-million jobless Americans will benefit from the deal if it ultimately passes both chambers of Congress. Davis says the push for extended unemployment benefits won’t help people find lasting jobs. He believes the intense focus on new issues is likely a distraction to try and shift the focus from the Affordable Care Act
