The “haunted” niche continues to be a big player for the Alton area according to local tourist officials. In an effort to enhance the experience of those visitors, the Alton Convention and Visitor’s Bureau has launched a new “haunted” app. CVB President Brett Stawar says the app allows people to map their experiences through the haunted portions of the city by sharing photographs and other experiences through social media.
He says the app features the McPike Mansion and a number of Alton’s other haunted locations.
