Illinois Representative Rodney Davis is speaking up about a problem he sees in the school lunch program. The congressman from Taylorville says the cost is too much, there are too many federal rules and some kids may not eat the meals and go hungry. His School Nutrition Fairness Act puts some limits on White House official functions.
The bill says they must follow the same nutrition guidelines the federal government puts on schools. The standards would also apply to the Department of Agriculture.
